Hashprice
Bitcoin hashprice — subsidy-only mining revenue per PH/s per day, computed difficulty-anchored — with the fee-exclusion caveat and history.
Subsidy-only hashprice is $38.8 / PH/day — the block subsidy's revenue per PH/s per day. It leaves out transaction fees (so it reads a little below fee-inclusive indices like Luxor's) and divides by a difficulty snapshot up to a week old.
History
Difficulty-anchored and subsidy-only: from the mempool.space difficulty (2026-08-31) and the 2026-08-30 BTC close, excluding fees. As of 2026-08-30 — the more-lagged of the two files — never the live spot.
How it's computed
Hashprice is the daily USD revenue per PH/s of hashrate. We compute it difficulty-anchored and subsidy-only: subsidy(date) × 86,400 × BTC price ÷ (difficulty × 2³²), scaled to PH/s. Block time cancels, so no blocks-per-day convention is baked in, and the exact difficulty (not the noisy hashrate estimate) sets the denominator. Subsidy is height-keyed, so it survives halvings; the price is the weekly as-of close, and the history pairs each week's difficulty with that week's aligned BTC close.
Why there's no band
No band. These readings — difficulty, hashrate, hashprice, and the production-cost floor — are level, estimate, and model readings; there's no valuation ceiling to place them against, so unlike Mayer or Puell there's no cheap/fair/expensive axis. Each carries a value and an as-of date, never a band, and never the live cyan badge.
