Mining now: is it paying?
Step 2 of the path. This minute's wholesale power price against what a mining machine can pay for it. Power below that line: running pays. Above it: switching off saves money. Pick your grid and machine under Settings.

Sources & limits
- Power: real-time hub prices from the public Dryos API (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, CAISO, SPP), hourly averages over 24 h. The site also reads each grid operator's own free public prices (ERCOT, MISO, NYISO, CAISO and SPP) and shows whichever is newer; MISO and SPP give the latest price only, and ERCOT and NYISO cover today only. The age counts from the end of the priced interval. PJM has no keyless official feed, so PJM hubs rely on Dryos and show their age when it stalls. Each tile names its source. Hub prices, not your tariff.
- Hours below breakeven: each hour's average hub price against today's breakeven (today's hashprice applied to every hour), counted only while the price is current. MISO and SPP give no hourly history, so they show none.
- Why power costs what it does: ERCOT's public fuel-mix and supply-and-demand dashboards (5-minute; ERCOT hubs only), and EIA's daily Henry Hub natural gas spot price, which EIA publishes weekly, so it is usually several days old and dated. Fuel cost uses EIA's 2024 average tested heat rate for gas combined cycle (7,548 Btu/kWh, about 7.5 MMBtu/MWh): fuel only, no plant costs.
- Hashprice: difficulty-anchored from mempool.space difficulty × live BTC spot; fees added from the last ~144 blocks when available.
- Breakeven and margin count electricity only — no hardware, hosting or pool fees. See production cost and methodology.
