How it's computed

Difficulty is an exact protocol value carried in every block header. It re-adjusts every 2,016 blocks (~two weeks) so that, at the epoch's hashrate, blocks are found about every ten minutes. We read the latest value and the history from mempool.space (a weekly snapshot). Shown in T — the raw difficulty divided by one trillion.

Why there's no band

No band. These readings — difficulty, hashrate, hashprice, and the production-cost floor — are level, estimate, and model readings; there's no valuation ceiling to place them against, so unlike Mayer or Puell there's no cheap/fair/expensive axis. Each carries a value and an as-of date, never a band, and never the live cyan badge.
