   Postquant Labs Shipped Quantum Protection Without a Bitcoin Soft Fork

   On Tuesday, April 28, Postquant Labs announced Quip Network, a post-quantum Bitcoin wallet that uses Arch Network's Bitcoin-native smart contract layer to add WOTS+ hash-based signatures on top of Bitcoin's existing security. The product requires no soft fork, no consensus change, and no community vote. It is the first quantum-protection path that does not depend on the Bitcoin network coordinating a migration. The announcement lands six days after the Coinbase Advisory Board paper put the BTC-at-risk pool at 6.9 million coins, and three weeks after BIP-361 proposed freezing legacy-format coins on a five-year timeline. The wallet ships next week. The third-party audit is underway but incomplete. Arch Network is still early infrastructure. The sovereignty implication is significant regardless of those caveats.

   The BIP-110 Fork Mined 2 Blocks and Stalled. Its Missing Replay Protection Is Still Your Problem

   BIP-110's mandatory signaling window opened at block 961,632 on August 8 with miner support near 2.5 percent, and the nodes enforcing it split onto a minority chain that mined 2 blocks and stalled. The main network never blinked. The fork shipped without replay protection, and that design choice is the part holders should actually understand.

   UAE Blames Iran for Drone Strikes on 2 Tankers. The Hormuz Protection Racket Runs on Bitcoin

   Drones hit 2 tankers operated by Abu Dhabi's state oil company ADNOC as they transited the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday evening, and the UAE Foreign Ministry called the attacks acts of piracy by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps and named the mechanism: economic coercion. The strikes land 8 days after Tehran agreed in principle on a corridor through its own waters, and the toll-and-insurance apparatus underneath that corridor settles in bitcoin.
